Camie Geary-Martin

Artist Statement

Most of my work originates in clay and is inspired by the human form. The creative process is an important element in my work and I have been involved in all the aspects of its creation – including mold making, casting wax, bronzing and patina. Since its inception in 1999 my work has evolved from highly representational to semi-abstract. It expresses a fascination of form, a sensual exploration of materials, the physical act of creating and the play of light on surfaces.
