My artwork is an exploration and creation of multimedia installations. During the last five years I have worked in the creation of installations in which my intent is to create a luminal space with the purpose of abstracting the viewer from everyday reality into a symbolic experience. With an optimistic view of everyday life, my work is inspired by the social problems that affect contemporary society. The narrative of these problems is found in popular stories, literature and songs; and transformed into carnivalesque installations, sculptures and performance as visual testimony of this social interest. My background in architecture informs my interest in constructivism and deconstruction which I use as reference for the geometric elements and creation of my work.
